My buddy Aamir Lakhani and I performed a penetration test using social media sources (Facebook and LinkedIn) as a method to compromise users from our target. You can find more about our project aka Emily Williams HERE and HERE as well as at www.drchaos.com.
I spoke about this at the Chicago ISC2 conference without Aamir due to work engagements. It so happens that the same thing happened for RSA Europe. I had to miss out for work reasons so Aamir ran solo yesterday at RSA Europe in Amsterdam. We found some sources published a write up about the talk. Samples of some write ups can be found below. We hope everybody enjoyed the presentations and postings about the research. We are currently cooking away at our next project that should be revealed early 2014.
